Fifth Annual Sandy Hook 5K Stepping Off In Newtown NEWTOWN, Conn. – The fifth annual 5k race to honor the memories of victims of the Sandy Hook shootings and support those impacted by the tragic events will be held on April 1. The race will take place on Saturday, April 1, on the campus of Fairfield Hills in Newtown beginning at 9 a.m. with staggered fun runs for kids. The 5k starts at 9:45 a.m. Online registration will open on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 4 p.m. on the official race website, www.5krunforshf.org.
