Putnam Park Road In Redding Remains Closed Due To Fire On Downed Pole

REDDING, Conn. — Putnam Park Road remained closed Monday evening near the Bethel border, according to the Redding Police Department.

The closure of Putnam Park Road/Route 107 is between Lonetown Road and Route 58, near Putnam Memorial State Park, police said.

The road was expected to remain closed until 2 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

A downed utility pole and wires in the area caught fire earlier Monday afternoon.

Eversource is on the scene making repairs.

There are no power outages reported in Redding, but 133 customers were without power in Bethel at 8:50 p.m. Monday, Eversource said.
