"Everything is donated. Donors include the First County Bank, the First Niagara Bank, HEI Hotel and Resorts, as well as individuals, and GGP also paid for an ice cream truck to come out," said Carlos Reinoso Jr., director of the Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition of the Human Services Council.

"It's nice for the families to come out and enjoy the day, to gather the family, get the community out," Reinoso said. "We have a D.J., and the Human Services Council pays for all of the entertainment and food. We also have a face painter and a balloon artist.

"It's really a great thing - we do it every year. The hope is to grow it, make it bigger. Like citywide, kind of a back-to-school expo."
