U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy and State Reps. William Tong, Caroline Simmons, Pat Billie Miller, Terry Adams, and Dan Fox launched a phone bank and discussed Clinton's plans to break down the barriers holding Connecticut families back.

"I'm joining grassroots volunteers from Stamford and across Fairfield County today to campaign for Hillary because we know how much is at stake in this election," said Murphy. "Hillary is a fighter. She's exactly what our country and families in Connecticut need right now."

"From bringing balance and fairness to our criminal justice system to keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, Hillary Clinton will fight for us and our communities as president," said Tong. "That's why I'm proud to support her campaign by mobilizing the vote in Stamford and across Connecticut. The stakes are too high this election to stay on the sidelines."

"From fighting for universal pre-k to standing up to the NRA, Hillary Clinton understands the issues that matter most to our community," said Miller. "She'll build on the progress made by President Obama - helping working families get ahead and stay ahead. I'm proud to support her historic campaign for president and plan on working hard to get out the vote in Connecticut."

The Connecticut Democratic presidential primary is on April 26. The launch event took place at Stamford City Committee Offices in Stamford.
