The two teen victims reported that at around 9 p.m. on Monday, they met with an acquaintance to socialize and smoke marijuana, police said. When they met their friend, who had already parked in the area, an unidentified male got out of the friend's car and into the back seat of the victims' car. He then held a gun to one of the teens, and ordered the two teens out of their car, according to police.

As the two victims got out of the car, three or four other males exited their friend's car, police said. One of the victims was ordered to the ground and was robbed of his wallet, phone and money while he was repeatedly kicked in the face and head, according to police. The other victim also had his phone taken from him before the attackers fled the scene in the friend's car, police said.

The victim who was kicked in the head was later treated for minor injuries, police said. The two victims identified their friend, who was arrested a short time later at his home in Trumbull, according to police.

The 17-year-old who was arrested was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree assault, and fifth-degree larceny. He was released to the custody of his parents, and is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Oct. 18.

Police said that they are continuing to investigate the incident in order to identify the other parties involved in the robbery and assault.
