Trumbull Driver Arrested After Nearly Hitting Patrol Car, Police Say

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A Trumbull woman faces drunken driving charges after she nearly swerved into the path of a police car, according to a report in the Monroe Courier.

Trumbull police charged a local woman with drunken driving after they said she swerved toward a police car on Route 25 on Sunday.

Grace Calovine, 54, was stopped by police on Route 25 on Sunday after she drove near the center line, nearly hitting the officer's patrol car, the Courier reported.

Police told the newspaper that Calovine failed a field sobriety test and had refused a breath test.
