TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A Trumbull toddler was taken to the hospital after falling out of a second-story condominium window Tuesday evening, police said.
The incident took place at the Woodland Hills Condominium complex at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to police said.
The 2-year-old had been sitting on a couch near an open window that had a screen on it, police said. The child's mother looked away, and he pressed against the screen and fell out the window, police said.
The child fell 15 to 20 feet onto pavement and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The mother called 911, and when first responders arrived the child was conscious, police said.
The fall was accidental, police said, and no charges have been filed in the incident.
