TRUMBULL, Conn. — The West Haven Police Department Detective Division is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects in an identity theft ring who are responsible for stealing personal information from victims in Trumbull and West Haven, as well as from New Jersey, and as far away as South Dakota.
The stolen information was used to open numerous fraudulent credit card accounts, which in turn were illegally used to charge more than $25,000 worth of merchandise in retail stores in Trumbull and West Haven over a two-month span, police said.
Anyone who has information on the identities of any of these suspects is asked to contact Detective Robert Fazzino at 203-937-3903. All calls will be confidential.
