Nichols Firefighters Douse Blaze In Car On Merritt Parkway Ramp In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, Conn. – The Nichols Fire Department extinguished a car fire on the Route 15/Merritt Parkway southbound entrance ramp from Huntington Turnpike on Wednesday, Feb. 10, according to the Nichols Fire Department.

After a Trumbull police officer was flagged down by a motorist, the fire department dispatched at around 9:54 a.m. and found an SUV with an engine compartment on fire. Rescue 300 arrived on scene with two firefighters and Engine 302 also assisted with two firefighters, according to the Nichols Fire Department. 

Engine 302 assisted with removing the burned vehicle, the Nichols Fire Department reported.
