He appeared in Bridgeport Superior Court on Tuesday and was held on $2.5 million bond.

Navin has been held in federal custody since he was charged with possession of a firearm by a drug addict in September. The drugs, including heroin, and guns were found during a search of his Bridgeport home in connection with the disappearance of his parents.

He was moved from a federal prison on Rhode Island on Tuesday morning to U.S. District Court in Bridgeport for State Police to execute the arrest warrant. Kyle Navin's girlfriend, Jennifer Valiante, 31, of Westport, was taken into custody at her home at 8 p.m. Friday, police said. She was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree hindering prosecution. She appeared in court Monday and was held on $2 million bond.

Jeffrey Navin, 56, was president of J&J Refuse in Westport, where Kyle Navin was operations manager. Jeanette Navin, 55, was a library paraprofessional at Weston Intermediate School.

State Police found traces of his mother's blood in Kyle Navin's truck and of his father's blood in Kyle Navin's home. Both had been shot.
