At around 8:48 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, police responded to a one-car crash on Hattertown Road where a vehicle had struck a stone wall, police said. Police said the driver, identified as 43-year-old Lavon Brigman of Danbury, appeared confused and did not know he had been involved in a car accident.

Brigman failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. At that point, officers found the 18 bags of PCP in his possession, police said.

Brigman was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive in the proper lane, possession of hallucinogens and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was released after posting a $6,000 bond.
