Route 136, Buck Hill Road Closed In Easton Due To Downed Power Lines

EASTON, Conn. — Two roads in Easton were closed in Easton early Tuesday evening due to downed power lines, police said.

Route 136 is closed in Easton in the vicinity of the Post Office on Tuesday evening.

Route 136, also known as Westport Road, is closed between Center Road and Wilson Road, Easton police said. 

Buck Hill Road is also closed due to downed power lines. 

Motorists are urged to drive carefully and seek alternate routes. 

United Illuminating was reporting a total of 45 power outages in Easton, in three separate locations as of 6 p.m. Tuesday.
