Members of the Westport Police Department are hopeful of reuniting an elderly chocolate Labrador that was recently found near a High Point Road home. She is currently being held at Westport Animal Control.

Police said that the “shelter staff firmly believes she is someone's dog and would like to do all that we can to reunite her with her family in the twilight years of her life.”

Anyone who recognizes the dog, or knows its owners has been asked to contact Westport Animal Control by calling (203) 341-5076.
