Shakespeare Gala In Norwalk Features Broadway Performers

NORWALK, Conn. -- Shakespeare on the Sound's Gala Evening will salute its upcoming production of "Hamlet" and showcase songs from other Broadway shows for "I {Heart) New Yorkick" Monday at the New York Yacht Club.

Broadway figures, including Robert Cuccioli, a Tony nominee for “Jekyll and Hyde,” Felicia Finley from “The Wedding Singer,” Leslie Margherita from “Mathilda” and “Dames at Sea,” Tony nominee Andrea McArdle and Josh Tower from “The Lion King” and Marsha Wallace from “Something Rotten” and “Aladdin" will perform at the gala. New Cannaan teenager Sadie Seelert from "Mary Poppins" also will join the list of performers. 

The gala begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails followed by dinner, a silent auction and the live entertainment. 

Tables of 10 are $3,000 and $5,000. Individual tickets are $300 and $500. Special tickets covering the performances and open bar only are $80. For tickets, contact 203-299-1300 or e-mail kim@shakespeareonthesound.org.

Sixteen performances of "Hamlet" will take place in Pinkney Park in Rowayton from June 16 through July 3. Joey Santia will play the title role.
