Uncomfortable Heat, Possible Rain To Hit Trumbull Today

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents can expect some uncomfortable heat and possibly some heavy rain on Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to be in the lower 90s on Wednesday, with a high of 91, but the humidity will produce heat index values in the mid to upper 90s, according to the National Weather Service. The day is expected to be mostly sunny, but there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. 

Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 70.

There will be a bit of a relief from the heat on Thursday, but not much. The high will be 92, but a slightly lower humidity will produce heat index values in the low to mid 90s. The skies will be mostly sunny during the day. Thursday night will see a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m. Otherwise the night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 70.

Friday morning will also see a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 a.m. After that the day will be mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 68.

Saturday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 85. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night, but otherwise the night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 67. That 40 percent chance of shower s and thunderstorms will continue into Sunday. Otherwise Sunday will be partly sunny with a high near 84.
