Rain Ushers In Cooler Weekend For Trumbull

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Fairfield County may have experienced the last gasp of summer after rain brought in a cold front with autumn-like temperatures this weekend.

Up to a quarter of an inch of much-needed ran was expected to fall by Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.  

Showers will linger in the area through Saturday, with another quarter of an inch possible. High temperatures will be drastically cooler than the upper 70s of the past week, only reaching the mid-50s on Saturday. 

Winds will pick up on Saturday night with gusts as high as 30 mph. Temperatures could dip into the upper 30s overnight. 

Sun will return on Sunday with highs around 58 degrees.
