Freezing Rain May Cause Icy Conditions Across Northern Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Heading out Monday night? The National Weather Service is warning northern Fairfield County of possible icy conditions.

Spotty light freezing rain and light freezing drizzle will occur Monday evening as temperatures across the area drop to near freezing.

Exercise caution if traveling, especially on bridges and overpasses. Some walkways may also become hazardous due to the icy conditions.

The light rain will continue into Monday night and Tuesday morning, with a low in the mid-30s overnight. 

Rain is likely to continue into Tuesday afternoon and into the evening, with a high in the mid-40s. 

The rain will clear by Wednesday, but it will remain mostly cloudy, with a high near 47 across Fairfield County.
