EASTON, Conn. -- Easton residents brave enough to be out driving, should take note that Route 136 is completely blocked by a fallen tree, according to the Easton Volunteer Fire Department and Easton Police Department.
The tree is blocking the roadway just east of Redding Road. State highway officials have been notified and are in route to remove the tree. Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes.
Residents are being asked to use extreme caution driving on the roads.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation said the closure should be cleared up within a few hours.
