Masuk Parent-Teacher Club To Hit The Runway During Prom Fashion Show

MONROE, Conn. – Organizers planning a post-prom party to encourage local high school students to celebrate in a substance-free environment, are holding a pre-event fundraiser and are seeking donations.

The Masuk Parent-Teacher Club is to hold a fashion show in March to fund the 27th annual after-prom party later this year.

The Masuk Parent-Teacher Club has scheduled its annual Prom Fashion Show for 7:30 p.m. on March 15 in the Masuk High School auditorium, according to organizers.

Because the fashion show is a fundraiser that includes an auction, planners are seeking donations of various types. Among those items being sought are gift certificates, goods or services or monetary donations, according to organizers.

All proceeds from the Prom Fashion Show will go toward the funding of the post-prom party, which is “an expensive, yet highly regarded and anticipated annual event” now in its 27th year, organizers said.

The post-prom party, which also takes places at the high school, requires decorations, food and prizes, organizers said, adding that all residents – not just parents of high school students – are asked to contribute if they can. Local businesses are also welcome to assist.
