STAMFORD, Conn. — Have you seen the Tweet from President Donald Trump that features a doctored video of the president attacking "CNN" and did you wonder who is behind the logo?

The Tweet from Sunday was captioned "#FraudNewsCNN #FNN" by Trump‏ and shows the president wrestling a person to the ground who symbolizes the Cable News Network channel.

You might recognize the man under that logo: It's Vince McMahon, founder of the Stamford-based World Wrestling Entertainment. The footage is from a Trump appearance in 2007 on "Wrestlemania" when Trump and McMahon were embroiled in a fake feud on the show, CNN said.

Vince McMahon, a Greenwich billionaire, is the husband of Linda McMahon, who is now the head of the Small Business Administration and a member of Trump's Cabinet.

CNN, in response to the Tweet from Trump, said it was a "sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters."

"Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so," the CNN statement said. "Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, ‎dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his."

A story by Chris Cillizza, CNN editor-at-large, says the professional wrestling show is the perfect metaphor for Trump's presidency. The president is playing a role for political gain by casting the media as the enemy, Cillizza says.

A Reddit user named "HanAssholeSolo" who is taking credit for making the video originally has a history of making bigoted posts, according to NPR.
