TRUMBULL, Conn. — Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst has launched a Political Action Committee to help elect Republicans to serve in Hartford, according to the Hartford Courant.
Herbst, who lost his bid for state treasurer in 2014 but is expected to run for governor in 2018, said the Republicans are only four seats away from gaining control of the State Senate, the Courant said.
The PAC will focus on helping candidates in eastern Connecticut, the Naugatuck Valley and the Northwest Corner, the Courant said.
