Trumbull Day Commission Disbanded By Town Council

TRUMBULL, Conn. – Members of the Trumbull Town Council voted to disband the Trumbull Day Commission during a council meeting on Feb. 1, according to the Trumbull Times.

Future town festivals will now be the responsibility of the town's Recreation Department, the Times noted.

Both Democrat and Republican council members alike pointed out the need for professional oversight for any future festivals on top of volunteer support, reported the Trumbull Times.

The question of when the next town festival would be, however, was left unresolved, the Times said.
