MONROE, Conn. — Republican incumbent Kevin C. Kelly defeated Democratic challenger Prez Palmer in the District 22 State Senate Race.

Republican Elaine Hammers won the seat in Senate District 22, easing past Democrat Marilyn V. Moore.

In the race for the State House, J.P. Sredzinski, a Republican, ran unopposed in District 112. 

Margaret Villani, a Republican, defeated Jamieson Campbell in the race for the Registrar of Voters.

For the U.S. House, Rep. Jim Himes, a Democrat, defeated a challenge from Republican John Shaban of Redding, who did not run for re-election to the State House due to his Congressional run.

For the U.S. Senate, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat, won re-election by topping Republican challenger Dan Carter of Bethel. Carter did not seek re-election to the State House due to his Senate run.
