Water Search Underway For Missing Man In Housatonic River In Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. — Police were searching for an unidentified man who possibly went missing on the Housatonic River in Shelton on Wednesday afternoon, according to NBC Connecticut.

Several witnesses reported seeing a man in the water near the Sunnyside Boat Ramp, NBC Connecticut said. 

Shelton police have been on the scene since 2:30 p.m., with dive teams searching the water, but the man had not been spotted, NBC Connecticut said.

No other information was immediately available.
