Two Cars Stolen Out Of Driveways Of Trumbull Homes Overnight

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Two cars were stolen from residential driveways in Trumbull after the owners left the keys inside, police said.

Trumbull Police said the stolen cars were reported Wednesday morning by residents who awoke to find their cars were gone. The cars included a 2013 Mercedes E350 from Columbine Drive and a 2016 Jeep Renegade from White Tail Lane. At least one of the cars was left unlocked, police said.

In addition to the stolen cars, police are investigating several thefts from vehicles that occurred during the same time period in various neighborhoods throughout town. Several residents reported that items had been stolen from inside their cars, all of which had been left unlocked while parked in driveways, police said.
