Two Arrested In Theft Of Used Cooking Oil From Monroe Eatery

MONROE, CONN. -- Monroe police have arrested two men, who, they say, were making off with a van full of used cooking oil, according to a report by ctpost.com.

Charged with larceny and criminal trespass were Federico Ferreira-Germose, 31, and Juan Nunez-Silverio, 29, both of Yonkers, N.Y., the ctpost.com reported.

State police said the two were arrested after they were spotted driving away from Vazzy’s, a local restaurant, and stopped on the Merritt Parkway in Westport, the ctpost.com report said.

Police said that there were two tanks filled with used cooking oil in the van, the ctpost,com article said.
