Trumbull Police Investigating After Person Is Shot On Quarry Road

At 3:30 p.m., Trumbull Police said they received reports of shots fired on Quarry Road, near Route 8/25.

Updated: TRUMBULL, Conn. — After a person was shot, Old Town Road was closed in Trumbull on Thursday afternoon for a police investigation. 

Shortly afterward, a victim was brought to St. Vincent’s Medical Center by car, police said. 

Officers located a crime scene on Old Town Road and were conducting an investigation, police said. The scene is near the Route 8/25 highway and the Bridgeport border.

Old Town Road was closed between White Plains Road/Route 127 and the intersection of Seltsam Road in Bridgeport and Exit 6 of Route 25 southbound in Trumbull for the police investigation. 

Quarry Road and Old Town Road were reopened at around 4:30 p.m. 

Officers located evidence of a shooting, including several shell casings, on Old Town Road near the intersection of Quarry Road, police said. 

Detectives are continuing their investigation, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses who were in the area at the time, police said.
