TRUMBULL, Conn. -- The mother of a 6-year-old Trumbull student was arrested on multiple charges after police said she struck the boy with a belt, according to the Trumbull Times.
The 35-year-old woman, whose name was not released to protect the child's identity, was arrested on March 30 and charged with risk of injury to a minor and third-degree assault, according to the Times.
The boy, who apparently was told by his mother not to say anything about the bruises, cuts and scabs on his body, did not require immediate medical attention, according to the Times.
Bond for the woman was set at $10,000, according to the Times.
