TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A Trumbull man was charged with allegedly strangling his girlfriend, according to the Trumbull Times.
Police told the Trumbull Times that Stephen Pronechen, 32, threw his girlfriend on the ground before repeatedly slamming her face on the floor and putting his elbow over her throat.
The victim called 911 and hung up immediately, so officers proceeded to the scene at Park Lane, said the Trumbull Times.
Pronechen told officers that arrived on the scene that he received a laceration on his forehead after his girlfriend attacked him, the Trumbull Times reported.
The victim told the officers that the two got into an argument that turned physical and she scratched him while being strangled, according to theTrumbull Times.
Pronechen was charged with strangulation in the third degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct, the Trumbull Times reported.
