TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A 24-year-old Trumbull man was struck and killed by a drunken driver early Sunday in Milford, according to the Trumbull Times.
At 2 a.m., Trumbull resident Vincent Pezzella was walking east on Bridgeport Avenue near Berwyn Street when he tried to cross the road and was hit, the Milford Police Department told the Times.
Pezzella, who was with a friend at the nearby Bridgeport Flyer Diner, died of his injuries at Bridgeport Hospital, the Trumbull Times said.
Hector Frias-Angomas, 46, of New Haven was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, the Trumbull Times said.
The accident remains under investigation, police said. Anyone with information is being asked to call the police’s traffic division at 203-878-5244.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Pezzella was a graduate of Trumbull High School and Hofstra University and worked at TRU Events and Marketing Solutions in Branford.
