Trumbull Gets New Police Communications Center Up-And-Running

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- The Trumbull Police Department's $1.7 million renovation of its Emergency Communications Center is complete and up-and-running, according to the Trumbull Times.

The Communications Center, located inside the Trumbull Police Department, recently underwent renovations to bring the department up to 21st-century standards.

The center, located inside police headquarters, included upgrades to the electrical system; the uninterrupted power supply; the generator; parts of the heating and cooling system; and security components for the building, said the Trumbull Times.

The town's upgrade to its radio system for the Trumbull Police Department was also part of the renovation and will provide new radios for officers and cars, and will operate on a newer digital technology, the Times. The work on the radio system is expected to be completed this year, added the Trumbull Times.
