The incident took place around 4 p.m. Tuesday when a person called police after seeing the teen inside the unoccupied residence, according to the police report.
Responding officers found the 17-year-old teen with a backpack full of items from the residence, according to the arrest report.
In an interview with his parents present, the teen admitted to the burglary. His identity was not released due to his age.
He was charged with burglary and larceny. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 31. Following his arrest, the teen was released to his parents.
