Stratford Man Held In Christmas Day Assault On Woman In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Stratford man was arrested and held on $50,000 bond Friday, after he pushed a woman who had a protective order against him on Christmas Day, police said.

Police said the woman took her three young children to a Fairfield home and the man, Dana Henry Muratori, 41, happened to be there. The two had a verbal fight and the woman said he pushed her and she fell over a couch, injuring her back, police said.

The woman reported the incident to Fairfield Police on Dec. 26 and Muratori was arrested on a warrant Friday.

He is charged with injury or risk of of injury or impairing the morals of children, disorderly conduct, violation of a restraining order and third-degree assault, police said. He was expected in court Dec. 13.
