TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man who tried to strangle his ex-girlfriend inside the Children's Place at the Trumbull Westfield Mall back in May, was arrested after police reviewed the attack on video surveillance, according to the Trumbull Times.
Police said Jocquille Adams, 22, choked her until she was coughing and losing her breath, said the Trumbull Times. As the ex-couple, who have a child together, left the mall, the woman attempted to get away and called police, the Times said.
Adams fled, but police later obtained a warrant for his arrest, the Times said. He was picked up on July 5 and charged with strangulation, violation of a protective order, breach of the peace and risk of injury to a child and held on $10,000 bond, the Trumbull Times said.
