After Wright pleaded guilty to four counts of driving under the influence, he was sentenced to 120 days in prison and three years' probation, the Connecticut Post reported. After completing his prison sentence, Wright did not report to a meeting with his probation officer like he was supposed to, according to the Connecticut Post.

In addition, the address that he had given to probation officials turned out to be for a vacant Monroe lot, the Connecticut Post reported.

Wright is now being sought by police, according to the Connecticut Post.

Wright was appointed to the state Board of Education in 2011 by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and reappointed in 2015. The website for the state Board of Education still lists him as a member of the board. He previously served as chair of the Trumbull Board of Education.
