Nicholas Szustecki, 30, was charged with criminal attempt at second-degree robbery, third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny, police said.

On Dec. 25, police believe Szustecki was responsible for the burglary at the Howe Avenue social club in which the cash register and bottles of liquor were stolen, police said.

Two days earlier, a man wearing a ski mask entered the Howe Avenue Subway restaurant and implied he had a gun in an attempted holdup. He did not get away with any cash, police said.

On Dec. 26, Szustecki was arrested on charges of burglarizing Porky’s Café on Howe Avenue and Steller’s Garage on Bridgeport Avenue. During that arrest, he was connected to the other two incidents, police said.

HIs bond and court date were not immediately available.
