Police were contacted Tuesday morning by somebody who knew about a possible suicide attempt, the Easton Courier reported. The person and their vehicle were located in the rear of a property on Black Rock Road, the Easton Courier said.
The victim was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m. by Easton Emergency Medical Service technicians, according to the Easton Courier. Police Chief Tim Shaw told the Easton Courier that the victim, who was not a resident of Easton, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The body was taken to the office of the State Medical Examiner and an autopsy will be performed, the Easton Courier reported.
