MONROE, Conn. — A 22-year-old Monroe man was arrested on possession of marijuana and narcotics charges after a routine traffic stop early Monday, the Monroe Courier said.

An officer who pulled over the car driven by Anthony Viglione on Old Zoar Road smelled marijuana, which Viglione admitted he had smoked earlier, the Courier said.

During a search of the car, police found marijuana, two tablets later identified as both Clonazepam and Alprazolam, and 0.3 grams of heroin in a wax paper fold, the story said.
