Police: No Students Injured After Car Hits School Bus In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A number of local students were not injured but got home late after their bus was hit by a car Friday afternoon in Fairfield, police said.

A vehicle  traveling north on Stillson Road went over the center line at a curve, striking the left rear wheel of the bus, police said. 

Due to the impact, the driver and her passenger were transported by an AMR ambulance to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport for evaluation, police said.

No students on the bus were injured, police said. 

Police did not say how many students were on the bus or what school it was from.
