The incident began just after midnight May 7 when an officer saw a speeding motorcycle cross Route 59 on Judd Road from east to west without stopping at the stop sign, police said.
The officer attempted to stop the motorcycle, which sped away, driving on both sides of the roadway in an attempt to evade, police said.
The motorcycle then sped through more stop signs, and at one point, it was on the wrong side of the road, forcing an eastbound vehicle off the side of the road, police said.
The officer ended the pursuit for the safety of the motorcyclist and other drivers, police said.
Police determined the driver's identity through the motorcycle's registration.
Alex Harvey of 10 Magellan Lane turned himself in at 10:40 p.m. May 30 to the Easton Police, which had a warrant for his arrest.
He was charged with two counts of failure to obey a stop sign, failure to keep right on a curve or a hill, reckless driving, second-degree reckless endangerment, engaging police in a pursuit and failure to register an out of state motor vehicle within 30 days.
Harvey was assigned a court date of June 12 and released on a promise to appear in court.
