Pickup Truck Nearly Crashes Onto Preschool Playground In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The driver of a pickup truck was hospitalized Friday evening after nearly crashing into a preschool playground on Grassmere Avenue, according to the Fairfield Sun.

The crash occurred on Grassmere Avenue, just off I-95.

The crash occurred at about 7 p.m., when a black Nissan Frontier struck a sign, went onto the sidewalk, hit a parked car and slammed into a fence surrounding Pumpkin Preschool, the Sun said.

The preschool is at 449 Grassmere Ave., where Exit 23 of I-95 North meets Kings Highway Cutoff, the Fairfield Sun said.
