MONROE, Conn. -- Police are warning residents to lock their cars after another rash of car burglaries this weekend in Monroe, Trumbull and Shelton.

Monroe Police said that several unlocked cars were entered overnight, and one was stolen from Monroe. The majority of these incidents are occurring on the town line near the borders of Trumbull and Shelton, police said.

Police are reminding residents that they should lock their vehicles at night and not leave valuables inside. Police said that Monroe has now experienced three stolen vehicles, which were all left unlocked with the keys inside.

These crimes continue to plague the area, and are very active, police said. If anyone discovers that a car is stolen or entered overnight, they should contact the Monroe Police Department at (203) 261-3622.
