Monroe Man Sentenced To Prison For Distributing Crack

MONROE, Conn. -- A Monroe man was sentenced to prison time Thursday for distributing crack cocaine.

Dwight Jarvis, 28, was sentenced to 21 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, according to Deirdre M. Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

According to court documents, a search of Jarvis's Monroe home on Oct. 27, 2016 turned up 29 grams of cocaine, approximately 25 grams of crack cocaine, 70 dose bags of heroin, and other items used to process and package narcotics for street sale. 

Jarvis was arrested on Dec. 16 and pleaded guilty on April 27 to one count of distribution of cocaine base.
