Monroe Man Charged In Home Depot Thefts; Other Arrests Expected

TRUMBULL, CONN. -- A work crew has been accused of really cleaning up by stealing thousands of dollars in tools and other merchandise from a Home Depot in Trumbull, according to a report by The Trumbull Times.

Trumbull police say they have arrested a Monroe man in connection with a series of thefts at the Home Depot on Monroe Turnpike. A Bridgeport man was also charged and more arrests are expected.

Arrested on Sunday, April 10, and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny were Santiago Gonzalez, 22, of Bridgeport, and Jerel Santamaria, 21, of Monroe, The Trumbull Times reported.

Police told The Trumbull Times that five more employees, including a shift manager, could be arrested in connection with the alleged employee theft ring at the home improvement retailer on Monroe Turnpike.
