Monroe Man, 21, Charged With Selling Heroin/Fentanyl That Led To OD

MONROE, Conn. — A 21-year-old Monroe man was arrested Tuesday for the second time in less than a week in connection with a nearly fatal drug overdose in town, according to the Connecticut Post.

Nicholas Ludwig of Block Farm Road was charged with first-degree assault, illegal manufacture, distribution, sale of drugs and reckless endangerment. He sold heroin/fentanyl to a woman who was found unresponsive on July 2 and was revived after multiple doses of Nalaxone (Narcan), police told the Post.

He was held on $250,000 bond until until his arraignment Wednesday, the Post said.

Early on July 1, police found Ludwig hiding in bushes with heroin/fentanyl and a BB gun. In that incident, Ludwig was arrested July 5 and charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, and carrying a facsimile firearm.
