Man Charged With Trespassing After Driving Jeep Into Easton Reservoir

EASTON, Conn. — An off-roading excursion ended in charges Monday when a West Haven man drove his Jeep into the Easton Reservoir, according to police.

Oliver Preissler, 24, said he was four wheeling with a group of people when he entered private property to gain access to the Easton Reservoir entrance road, according to police. His Jeep became disabled a few feet from shore, police said.

Preissler was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal trespass. He was issued a misdemeanor summons to appear in court on March 2.
