Richard Phillips, 56, turned himself into police on Monday on an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from the domestic incident at his home on March 30, police said.
Phillips, who served as the town's police commissioner for 12 years until November 2013, the last seven as chairman, was originally charged with disorderly conduct, but the arrest led to the discovery of an arsenal of guns in the home.
After turning himself him, Phillips was charged with 15 counts of possession of an assault weapon, 90 counts of possessing a large-capacity magazine, five counts possession of a silencer, unsafe storage of a firearm and interfering with an officer, Weston Police said.
Phillips posted $100,000 bond. According to court records, other terms of his release include anger management, a psychiatric evaluation, and no access to weapons.
He is scheduled to reappear in court on Thursday.
