Former U.K. Resident Charged In Double Fatal Wrong-Way Crash In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, Conn. — A man who had recently moved from the United Kingdom could face 10 years in prison in a wrong-way crash in Trumbull that killed an elderly couple, according to the Connecticut Post.

Henry Russell, 27, was charged Monday with two counts of misconduct with a motor vehicle, a felony, the Post said. 

Allen Finkenaur and his, Virginia, both 91, died days after the head-on crash on Dec. 22 on White Plains Road near Cedarcrest Road, the Post said. 

The Finkenaurs were hit by Russell, who was driving on the wrong side of White Plains Road, police told the Post.

Allen Finkenaur died on Christmas Day, and his wife died 14 days later.
