Joseph Mauro, 35, of Fairfield Avenue, concealed $204.96 in items from the CVS and then walked out of the Fairway Plaza store, police said.

He was seen walking south on Black Rock Turnpike near a bag full of items he later admitted he stole, police said.

Mauro was charged with sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 23, police said.

Police said Mauro has a lengthy criminal record, including disorderly conduct, larceny and criminal trespassing charges.
