The 7-Eleven clerk told officers he recognized the mother-daughter duo, who have stolen Red Bull from the shop before when they came in around 8 p.m., police said.

He snuck out of the store, locked the pair in and called police.

But the woman, later identified as Dorsey Saunders, 41, Ridgefield Avenue, Bridgeport, and her daughter kicked out the glass, hit the clerk and used a stun gun on him, police said.

The three were still in the parking lot when officers arrived, taking both the mother and daughter into custody.

Police found the stun gun on the ground next to the police cruiser into which they had placed the child, police said.

Police saw several cold Red Bulls in the suspect’s car, along with several four-packs of Red Bull and Monster. Surveillance from the store showed Saunders stealing Red Bull on July 8 and 15, police said.

The clerk told officers the woman and daughter came into the store frequently with the daughter attempting to distract the clerk while her mother tried to steal items, police said.

Saunders and her daughter were each charged with criminal mischief, criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and second-degree assault, police said. Saunders was also charged with risk of injury to a minor.

Saunders was released on $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25.

Her daughter, who was also released, is expected to appear in juvenile court on Aug. 24. Police also referred the case to the state Department of Children and Families.

The damage to the doors was estimated at $2,000.
